Fucidin ointment is used to treat skin infections caused by bacterial infections such as boils, infected wounds, inflamed burns, folliculitis, and acne with infection.
Fucidin is also sometimes used to prevent infection in minor cuts or scratches. Its formula contains fusidic acid, which is an antibiotic that is effective in eliminating certain types of bacteria.
